Communications Chair

The Communications Committee is a mandatory standing committee appointed by the chapter’s President-Elect. The primary role of the Communications Committee is to coordinate and promote the chapter’s communications including: website, newsletters, social media, and other communications, to keep members informed and engaged with ASHRAE Regina activities and opportunities.

The Communications Chair works with the Newsletter Editor, Webmaster, and Social Media, while also serving as the chapter’s connection to the Regional Communications Chair.

  • Chapter meetings and technical programs
  • Seminars and special events
  • Scholarships, awards, and member activities
  • ASHRAE initiatives and opportunities
  • Website
  • Email/newsletters
  • Social media
  • Event announcements and other digital communications
  • Keep information accurate and current
  • Maintain a consistent ASHRAE look and message
  • Coordinate communications among chapter committees
  • Make members aware of chapter activities and opportunities
  • Help promote participation, recruitment, and retention
  • Share useful information with members in a timely manner
  • Use ASHRAE branding and communication guidelines
  • Stay current with Society communication tools and best practices
  • Work with the Regional Communications Chair (RCC) when appropriate
