Chapter Technology Transfer Chair

Providing chapter members with high-quality educational programs, technical presentations, and industry standard updates to advance engineering expertise.
The Chapter Technology Transfer Committee (CTTC) is a mandatory standing committee appointed by the chapter’s President-Elect. The primary role of the CTTC is to serve as the technical backbone of the local chapter by driving the dissemination of relevant engineering information, planning high-quality educational programming, and keeping members well-informed on industry advancements. Through technical sessions, monthly meetings, and professional awards programs, the CTTC directly supports the growth, education, and development of local HVAC&R professionals.
Core Responsibilites:
Responsible for planning speakers, technical sessions, and overall logistics for monthly chapter meetings. This includes securing engaging presenters, managing technical group collaborations, and ensuring that speaker presentations are submitted two weeks in advance to check for infractions against the ASHRAE Commercialism Policy.
Coordinates the communication and spread of up-to-date technical information throughout the chapter’s designated geographic area.
Promotes and administers the chapter’s local Technology Awards program while actively encouraging standout project entries to advance into regional competitions.
Acts as the chapter’s informational hub to keep members continually educated and informed on the latest technical trends and issues surrounding heating, ventilating, refrigeration, and air conditioning.
The CTTC Chair is required to attend the Chapters Regional Conference (CRC) meeting and actively participate in the dedicated Chapter Technology Transfer Workshop.
Provides necessary technical support to the Chapter Communications/Website committees to help promote upcoming programs, and assists the Chapter Historian in accurately archiving the history of chapter programs.
Regularly reports to and coordinates with the Regional Vice Chair (RVC) for Chapter Technology Transfer to ensure local activities directly align with and achieve the broader goals of the Society.
