David Samayoa
President
David has been a member of the ASHRAE Regina Chapter since 2019. He has held several leadership roles within the Chapter and Student Branch, including University of Regina Student Branch President (2021–2022), Student Activities Chair (2022–2024), Chapter Technology Chair (2024–2026), and President-Elect (2024–2026). He will serve as Chapter President for the 2026–2027 term.
David holds a Red Seal Journeyperson Plumber Certification (2016) and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Industrial Systems Engineering from the University of Regina (2022). He has worked as a Mechanical Consultant since 2022 and is currently employed at MacPherson Engineering Inc. David is an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with APEGS and is actively pursuing his Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation.

Avah Strueby
Secretary
Avah has been a member of the ASHRAE Regina Chapter, Saskatoon Chapter, and the University of Regina Student Chapter since 2020, and has chaired the following committees: Student Chapter Treasurer & Secretary (2020-21), Saskatoon Chapter YEA/Student Activities (2022-23 & 2023-24), and Regina Chapter Secretary (2025-26).
Avah received her BASc in Industrial Systems Engineering from the University of Regina in 2001. She has worked as a Mechanical Engineering Consultant since 2021, and is currently employed at MacPherson Engineering. Avah received her PEng from APEGS in 2026.

Ayo Daniel Abiola
Government Affairs
Ayo first joined the Regina ASHRAE Chapter in 2022 and was previously a member of the London, Ontario Chapter. He has chaired the sustainability committee (2024-25 & 2025-26), and led the chapter’s collaboration with the ASHRAE Saskatoon Chapter to host the 2025 BuildGreen Saskatchewan Conference uniting industry, academia, community and government in Regina.
Ayo earned a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning from the University College London (UCL), England in 2009. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario (PEO) and Saskatchewan (APEGS), and works as the Saskatchewan Regional Manager and National Carbon Lead for Hanscomb Limited.

Ted Cooke
Government Affairs
Ted has been a member of the ASHRAE Regina Chapter since 2004 and has held the following positions on the Board: Chapter Secretary (2005-06), Newsletter Editor/Vice President (2006-07), Newsletter Editor/Technology Transfer Chair/President-Elect (2007-08), Board of Governors/President (2008-09), and Research Promotion (2009-10). Ted is currently serving as the Co-Chair for Government Affairs.
Ted received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan in 1996 and has worked as a Mechanical Engineering Consultant since 1996. Ted is currently the Senior Engineer and Partner at HDA Engineering Ltd.
When not working, Ted focuses on family and enjoying the fruits of becoming an empty nester while ensuring he gets 5 workouts in per week, including Rowing (a sport he has pursued since 1982).

Tyler Gamble
Research Promotion | Past-President
Tyler began his ASHRAE journey by becoming a member of the Regina Chapter in 2017. After attending a few meetings, he joined the ASHRAE Regina BOG in 2020/21 as the YEA Chair. And yes, planning social events during the middle of a pandemic wasn’t easy. Tyler then served as Chapter Treasurer in 2021/22, before taking on the Chapter Vice Presidency/President Elect in 2022/23 and 2023/24, along with it the Chapter Technology Transfer Chair. In 2024/25 and 2025/26 Tyler served as the Chapter President. Tyler now serves as the Research Promotion Chair.
Tyler has a Bachelor of Engineering (2010) in Bioresource Engineering from McGill University, and a Master of Engineering (2016) in Environmental Engineering from Dalhousie University. Tyler joined Canature WaterGroup in 2016 and is currently the Vice President of the Commercial division.
When not working or “ASHRAE-ing” (is that a word?), Tyler spends his time with his wife, two kids, two cats, and one dog, cheering on the Montreal Canadiens, curling, golfing, and convincing himself that he can run long distances.

Azizur Rahman
Student Activities
Azizur joined the ASHRAE Regina Chapter in 2026 and was previously a member of the ASHRAE Bangladesh Chapter.
Azizur earned his Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering from the Military Institute of Science and Technology in 2022. He has over three years of experience in HVAC system design and analysis, with a focus on commercial, pharmaceutical, and mission-critical facilities. He is currently employed as a mechanical designer at Stantec and is pursuing Engineer-in-Training (EIT) registration with APEGS.
His professional interests include HVAC&R, building performance, energy-efficient system design, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and heat transfer.

Josh Spelay
Young Engineers in ASHRAE (YEA)
Josh has been a member of the ASHRAE Regina Chapter since 2021 (initially joining as a student member before becoming an associate member in 2022 & 2023) and has chaired the following committees: Membership Promotion (2024), and Young Engineers in ASHRAE (2025 & 2026).
Josh received a degree in Industrial Systems Engineering from the University of Regina in 2022. He has worked as a New Systems Equipment Account Manager at Trane since graduation where he is currently employed. Josh is currently an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) member within APEGS.

Rob Craddock
Historical
Rob has been a member of ASHRAE Regina Chapter since 1997, and has served the chapter in the following roles: Chapter Secretary 1998 to 2002, Chapter President Elect & CTTC Chair 2002 to 2004, Chapter President 2005 & 2006, RP Chair 2006 to 2008, MP Chair 2008 to 2011, and Government Affairs Chair 2017 to 2019. Rob has also served ASHRAE Region XI as Regional Treasurer, Nominating Member and Alternate, the Regional Members Council Representative as well as the Director and Regional Chair of Region XI. Rob has been active at the society level sitting on the Honors and Awards Committee, Advocacy Committee, Government Affairs Committee, Chapter Technology Transfer Committee and is a corresponding member to TC5.2 and has served on SSPC90.2.
Rob started working as a Sheet Metal Tradesman in the early 80’s and has worked his way up to owing the family business Inland Metal.

Chris received his Architectural and Building Technologies Diploma from SIAST Palliser Campus in 1999. He has worked as a Mechanical Engineering Consultant since 2001, and is currently employed at Brandt Developments Ltd. Chris received his Engineering Licensee membership from APEGS in 2025.
