The Regina Chapter is proud to announce the creation of the Regina Chapter Legacy Fund. The fund has been established to provide members, past leaders, industry partners, and supporters with an opportunity to create a lasting impact beyond today’s chapter activities. Through contributions directed to the ASHRAE Foundation General Fund, this initiative helps strengthen the long-term sustainability of ASHRAE programs that advance research, education, scholarships, leadership development, and the future of the HVAC&R industry.
What is an endowed fund?
Simply put, “endowed” means that a donor or donors contribute to a named fund via the ASHRAE Foundation. The ASHRAE Foundation Board of Trustees invests the funds, and provides a 5% annual return, beginning one year after the fund reaches a balance of $3,000. This income is earmarked for whatever fund (Research, YEA, Education, General, Scholarships) the donor wishes. The chapter will receive 5% credit towards their yearly RP campaign based on the balance of the fund on June 30 of the previous year.
The Legacy Fund reflects our chapter’s commitment to building upon the work of those who came before us while investing I the next generation of professionals. Every contribution becomes part of an enduring foundation that supports ASHRAE’s mission and ensures that knowledge, innovation, and service continue to benefit our industry and communities for years to come.
By participating in the Legacy Fund, donors help to leave a meaningful and lasting chapter legacy that extends far beyond our region and contributes to the continued success of ASHRAE worldwide.
