YEA Leadership Weekend is an opportunity for you—the future leaders of ASHRAE—to learn more about Society\, develop soft skills and network with other young professionals. Over 1\,100 YEA members have already taken advantage of this great opportunity…will you be next? \nThis event will include segments on understanding your own personality as well as other types\, leadership development for young professionals\, communication techniques and ASHRAE leadership opportunities. \nLeadership Weekend Objectives\n\nLeadership\nNetworking\nCommunication\nProfessional Development\n\nDownload the YEA Leadership Weekend flyer for more information. It’s a great resource to supply your employer to support your attendance! \nYEA Leadership Weekend Flyer \nThe Fall 2026 YEA Leadership Weekend will be held at the Emery Autograph Collection Hotel in Minneapolis\, MN from November 6-8\, 2026. Registration is $580 and includes hotel accommodations for Friday and Saturday\, meals during the event (dinner on Friday\, all meals on Saturday\, and breakfast and lunch on Sunday)\, and all necessary materials and resources. Airfare and any ground transportation costs are not included. \nTravel Information: The event starts at 2pm local time on November 6\, 2026 in Minneapolis\, MN. The event ends by 12pm local time on Sunday\, November 8\, 2026. We highly recommend that you please book your return flight no earlier than 2pm local time so that you are able to get the full complete experience of the weekend. If you are unable to find flights that accommodate these times\, please let me know. \nOPTIONAL TECHNICAL TOUR: The technical tour is currently being confirmed but will be held on the afternoon of Thursday\, November 5th\, 2026. DESCRIPTION:The objective of the conference is to optimize the utilization of basic energy resources in the major energy consuming sectors in the arid regions of the Arabian Peninsula. \nThe world can no longer sustain its current pattern of energy consumption. With climate change becoming increasingly urgent\, it is imperative that we all adopt effective energy conservation practices. This challenge is even more pressing in regions with high ambient temperatures\, where cooling demands can be extreme—air conditioning alone accounts for up to 70% of energy usage during peak cooling seasons.” \nTo confront this crisis\, we must embrace cleaner alternative energy sources and implement conservation strategies in ways that are open\, inclusive\, and pragmatic.
