SUMMARY:Ninth International Conference on Energy Research and Development (ICERD – 9)
DESCRIPTION:The objective of the conference is to optimize the utilization of basic energy resources in the major energy consuming sectors in the arid regions of the Arabian Peninsula. \nThe world can no longer sustain its current pattern of energy consumption. With climate change becoming increasingly urgent\, it is imperative that we all adopt effective energy conservation practices. This challenge is even more pressing in regions with high ambient temperatures\, where cooling demands can be extreme—air conditioning alone accounts for up to 70% of energy usage during peak cooling seasons.” \nTo confront this crisis\, we must embrace cleaner alternative energy sources and implement conservation strategies in ways that are open\, inclusive\, and pragmatic. Ninth International Conference on Energy Research and Development (ICERD 9) will serve as a vital platform\, uniting stakeholders from across sectors to collaboratively address this crucial issue and chart a path toward a sustainable energy future\,” said Walid Chakroun\, Conference Chair. \nThe conference related to the latest research and development in the field of energy is divided into four parts: oral presentations and discussions of accepted papers; lectures by distinguished invited speakers in the energy field; a panel discussion with experts and decision-makers to generate research ideas for sustainable energy use; and a showcase of products and innovations from energy companies in Kuwait and the Gulf region. \nThe topics will include but are not limited to: \n\nEnergy Conversion and Management.\nEnergy Conservation.\nFuels and Alternatives.\nEnergy Policy and Planning.\nCombined and Co-generation Energy Systems.\nAir-conditioning & Refrigeration Systems.\nEnergy & Environmental Issues.\nEnergy and Sustainable Development.\nRenewable Energy Technologies.\nEnergy Storage.\nThermodynamics\, Heat Transfer and Fluid Dynamics.\nThermodynamic Optimization and Exergy Analysis\nPlant and Facilities Mechanical Integrity\nEmerging Energy Technology
